Michael J. Richards died Thursday June 5, 2008 at his home in Hopatcong. He was 64 years old.

Born in Wayne, MI to his late parents, James and Margaret (Hilsteadt), Mike resided in Wyandotte, MI prior to moving to Hopatcong in 1980.

He served in the United States Air Force from October 1962 until February 1966. He was an Air Policeman at Dreux Air Force Base in France for three years.

Mike retired in 1999 from his position as supervisor in the Inventory Control Department of BASF Corp. in Mt. Olive after 33 years of service. He was a member of St. Jude's Church in Hopatcong.

Loving husband of Susan (Welsch). Beloved father of Derek of Los Angeles, CA and Beth of Santa Monica, CA. Dear brother of Margaret Welsch and her husband Richard of Trenton, MI. Mike will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
